KENT - the Final Frontier

Hythe - what a nice place.
Indeed.

I once lost my wallet at Hythe - on a helter-skelter, when the kids were little and enjoyed rides like that. It must have slid out of my back pocket.

It was only when "Buy me an ice-cream, Dad" time came round (about fifteen minutes later), that I realised it had gone. I went back to the lad who was running the helter-skelter, and he said ....

... "Yes, here it is. I've been expecting you to come back".

Unbelievable? I have to say it surprised me.

In Deal we went to The Ship on Middle Street (from the GBG) - it was a pubby pub - with very helpful locals giving helpful advice on our route. Deal just looked a really nice, thriving place. A return trip will take us to Chatham.

I like the Ship nice pub, my Mum lives in Deal so go alot, there is a pub on the seafront called the Bohemian, expensive but lovely pint some cracking beers that you dont usually get in this country.

They some times do helicopter rides from the seafront which is good fun, and if ya have kids the paddling pool down there is fantastic when its hot.
