[Albion] Keith Wyness (ex-Everton) seems to have a bit of beef with Albion...

“I think there’s a love-fest about Brighton being well-run...

“Each club has a unique set of problems, with advantages and disadvantages. Brighton have had less disadvantages than others.

“They’ve done a great job, but to say it’s because they are so well-run – I think everyone’s getting a bit carried away.”

To be fair, we have had a big advantage. We’ve been well run.

Whereas they’ve been run by a bunch of total clowns.

Yes, he's absolutely spot on. Being 92nd in the Football League was definitely a lucky break for us, and the athletics stadium helped us no end.

Obviously a deluded opinion but one thing linked to this that I think many overlook is who manages the operations of BHA day to day. Paul Mullen (not the Wrexham striker) has been COO for the last 4.5 years and head of administration for the 4.5 years before that.

Why have we had less disadvantages? Exactly what disadvantages have Everton for example had that we havent? Is he referring to their overspending and financial difficulty? Well yes we have been spared that...

And to say we've done really well, BUT ITS DEFINITELY NOT TO DO WITH BEING WELL RUN, is a weird statement. So what is it to do with? We've luckily done well? We've cheated our way to doing well? We've been given some extra points by the Premier League? Our doing well is fake doing well? Very odd.

Absolutely, when we were 92nd in the Football League I was always thinking it could be worse. We still had plenty of Bovril and the cheese and onion crisps weren't stale that season.

'They’ve done a great job, but to say it’s because they are so well-run..' a slight contradiction in that line, one feels.
