Imy middle names are Charles Douglas - named after an RAF legend from my Mum's family (MC and DFC in WWI then head of Fighter Command in WWII before being Governer of the British Occupation Zone in Germany, knighted and promoted to Marshal of the RAF - not bad...)

Was that the chap who lost his ears ? he was then called "Lugless Douglas".

I have two Paul and Darren the reason being my folks couldn't decide which to call me.

Was a nightmare when playing co,puter games as they always wanted three initials on high score boards and I had 4. Never forgave my folks for that.

I have two middle names too, Christopher Charles - came from my great grandfathers I'm told.

Also gave me the initials MCC - and cricket was my destiny after that ....

James from a loooooong line of thomas james'

I was the first not to be called Thomas. My Dad got fed up with the banks etc confusing him and his Dad and decided not to add to the confusion.

Same in my family except they eventually gave in to family history - my birth cert has James first, so Cian is actually my middle name - but its on my driving licence, passport, etc as first name.

Who else on NSC uses his/her middle name as his/her main name. My middle name is Maxwell - which is now my first (so to speak)

Yep, just seen. I'm a bit demob happy and not fully functioning this morning.

However, my middle name is my real middle name and is on my passport, bank documents, NHS card as such.

The only place I'm still James is with the Revenue Commissioners - still hoping they'll charge my tax to my dad by mistake :jester:
