it really hurts to see england concede a goal, nevermind lose a game. but to see them lose in that fashion is absolutly heart wrenching. but of cause we can still do it. we must be the favorates against the swiss and the croats. so if we do as we are favorates to do then we go through, simple as that. i certainly dont think spain, portugal or greece will stop us in the next round either.
spain looked ok. portugal looked shite and greece would be hard to break down but should not cause a threat to us.
so come on england lets get it on an win this tournament.

i can see our revenge in the final. france beware. wounded lions will bite back.

Well said Edna.

The comparison with the Albion hadn't been lost on me either.

We'll qualify and progress at least past the quarter final.

After the initial shock I'm very up beat again. France didn't beat us, we gifted them a win. Apart from two stupid mistakes we played well and shackled their so called super stars without to much trouble. Obviously we can't aford to make those sort of errors from here on in, but I can see us getting better and better. That shock could turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

FOOTBALL'S COMING HOME!

Anyone else think that game was rather like watching the Albion?

Lots of high balls up to the short guy up front, few passes on the floor where the skilful strikers need them. Solid in defence but ultimately clinging on for long periods, allowing the opposition possession while restricting them to few actual chances.

That challenge by Heskey was positively Oatway-sque, while you could easily visualise Roberts or Kuipers making that challenge by Jones at the end.

Obviously England lost though, whereas we win, so that's where the similarity ends.:lolol:

Your country needs you Edna, time to auction Heskey on ebay and see if you still have that ole water-into-wine magic touch.
