According to BBC and a few other SOURCES Kean is finally OUT at Blackburn.

You really couldn't make it up could you?

They let him almost get relegated. He stays
All the fans want him out. He stays.
He gets relegated. He stays.

they let him spend £8m on a striker (who has already started scoring) and has a very good start to the season.....and they sack him.

Those CRAZY chicken farmers.:dunce:

Feel sorry for the bloke to be honest don't think he was ever given a fair go by the Blackburn fans. He's a good coach but not really manager material but did the best he could. Those indian owners are nuts IMO msybe he's better off out of there

Mind boggling, get relegated, keep the manager on when the fans are calling for his head and you have the whole close season to find a replacement. Then let him spend millions and sack him, 7 games into the season, having topped the table until Saturday. Beggar's belief

I agree, he was never really a manager, should never have been out in that position. I saw a few mins of the game on Sat, and they were booed all the time, even before they were losing, not a good atmosphere to work in.

Gus for ...

Anyway it's a bit of a shame, the longer he stayed the more damage he would have done.

Sounds a little familiar (except the spending millions bit)...

Not good news. They will prob get a decent manager in now and with there team they should be very very good.

I couldn't have Blackburn as pre-season favs with those idiots in charge, there were always gonna f*** things up.
They probably think you have to be top of the table all season to get promoted

A bit concerning to see he had no involvement in his signings, wonder if the Venky's will have a go at managing the team, hope so...

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has admitted he has not seen any of his three deadline day signings play live.

"Shebby Singh was very excited about them coming here and was telling me how good they were."

Yeah appalling start to the season Won 4 drawn 2 lost 1
Letting in goals left right and centre.
Winning by odd late goals.
Small hostile crowds.

I think he was doing plenty of damage, the figures don't tell the whole story.

Non footballing reasons I suspect.

The owners clearly know f*** all about football, but are probably aware that average gates falling from 24,000 to 13,500 in 6 months and those who do remain calling for the manager's head is probably bad for business.
