Not a great loss in terms of starting games perhaps, but he has always been one of those players who, if the game isn't going to plan, or we need some attacking impetus, can be brought on after an hour or so, to add some much needed zest to the attack.

A real threat on his day.

He was a couple of years ago but not recently perhaps you could include the 1st 3 months of last season but nothing since and is poor with doubling up on defensive duties.

Kinda crazy to think about the likes of Mitoma and Adingra and remember when Kazenga Lua Lua was our top, most exciting flair player.

Absolutely loved him when he played for us though, hope he does well there.

Such a shame what happened to him. He was destined for big things before his injury. Was lower Championship at absolute best after it.

Traction engine for a foot, shame we haven’t got anyone who can hit free kicks from distance like he could. Dunk would not be taking them if we did

His first loan spell was insanity. Went round people like Maradona, crossed like Beckham.

Had he stayed injury free, who knows where he would have ended up.

But his game was based on twisting and turning and flying off the mark. He never properly recovered from that first cruciate injury in my view.

Hamstring wasn’t it?

When he came back from injury he never had 90mins in him did, from memory?

One of my all time top Albion players tbh he was so much fun to watch and was with us during the 'exciting years' too, dreaming (rather fantasising) 'imagine we make it to the Premier League'.

For a car analogy, he was like a Ferrari that needed a tune up and a polish before his injuries.
Afterwards, he was like a Ferrari with a blown head gasket. Still a nice car, but you couldn't accelerate

Still can’t get over Poyet benching him on purpose in the P/O second leg. He ruined them earlier in the season.

If anyone watched the PL stories on Wednesday night Bloom makes a dig at Poyet he must still be bitter about the events.

My daughter's favourite player. She had his name on the back of her shirt and she was really excited when she found herself playing table football with him at the Christmas party. She lost a little bit of interest in the Albion after he left and then stopped going to matches. He was genuine flair when we didn't have all that much of it
