He has. Nir Bitton his international team mate still plays for Celtic... apparently they're open to offers for him, wouldn't mind if he also made his way down to the south coast.

Interesting idea. Send existing playing staff to pick up potential signings to cut costs

English player with an English club? Brexit irrelevant. But I expect someone will moan..............

True on Stephens but i suspect the comparison to pogba is post brexit. The pre brexit multiplier would be x2 or x3 or something lime that.cthqt is Stephens is unhappy, value of english players relarive to overseas players is falling

Hoping that he's just trying to wind people up with that, concerned me too though. Perhaps a hint that bids have been made for him? Strange thing to say.

Its true he isnt but perhaps we have put a £10m price tag on Dale Stephens.

Might be just overthinking this, but maybe this is a hint at him confirming a new contract signed with us, with a release clause of £10 million????
Don't know if that's too much for a player at this level, and it probably isn't what Dale was hinting at anyway haha

Could simply be a throwaway comment based on a value in his current deal at which we would consider offers.
Not overly keen on a player putting that sort of value out there

i just read it as a joke.....

On trial at Charlton under Slade who I believe brought him here from Gillingham when we were at Withdean? Good luck to both of them.

Crofts set up the first goal for Charlton in their pre-season against Welling. Played first 45 and impressed apparently

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
I am more confident by the day that Kayal and Stephens will sign new 3 years deals for some reason

I am exactly the opposite as the days go by. Kayal, I feel slightly optimistic about, Stephens, I fear, is off, hence the quick signing of Sidwell.

Based on gut instinct and nothing else, I'd say I feel more confident about Kayal staying IF I had to choose between the two.

Language used by Kayal in recent instagrams (referring many times to BHA as "we" and talking about next season, unprompted) and interview soundbites suggest he is very, very, very happy at the Albion. I'd be massively shocked if he went anywhere.

All a bit quiet on the Stephens front, however.

Near Ducks, Geese, and Seagulls
My opinion is that I'd like them both to stay to continue (hopefully) the good work of last season.

But, if they wish to move on, and it would only be to the Premier League, then I wish them well and trust Chris and the team to get equal if not better replacements in.

dont matter
Burnley just had £3 million offer for Jeff Hendrick turned down, will they go back with bigger offer or turn their attentions elsewhere in the Championship?
