Sports Personality of The Year. What a horse.

hopefully this campaign they've got going to recognise him at next years one will actually get somewhere - by god, he deserves it

still smiling about yesterday. when he became the first horse to regain the gold cup was a special day but that was even better, especially after being written off last year and against a far better long run than showed up at haydock

hopefully it will only be the greatest live sporting moment of my life until march, as if gold cup number three happens then that will almost certainly top it

I've been following this debate on Twitter

Kauto Star is Clive Smith's horse. He bought it paid a shed load of money for it to be trained and whilst he has been repaid in spades it was his money he was risking. He can do what the f*** he likes with it as long as it is humane. You'd think from the reaction of the Nicholls stable he was sending it to the nearest Bostick Factory not to ponce about dancing for a living.

Another high profile owner Nicholls has managed to upset. The jumped up twat.

This is absolutely hilarious, what a load of cobblers over nothing. The owner can do what he wants with his horse and it wasn't going to race again anyway !
Besides, new " Superstars " are already filling the void, never does a day pass without Cornelius Lysaght or the other 5 Live racing pr man nearly choking on their cornflakes as they eulogise over whichever "Fantastic Horse " is the " Star of a Fantastic day's racing ahead " ad infinitum.

Aint that the truth. Racing has been lucky with Frankel and Kauto. There now seems to be a need to trump up everything in search of the next big thing. Fine with me, it'll inflate prices but for instance was Sprinter Sachre's performance that good? It only beat 1 horse of note and they won't use those tactics again. Meanwhile, the Racing press eulogise like its the next Arkle.

Kauto Star to do dressage ?
Who would have thought he would turn out to be a bender.

Why you have it in for horse racing just because you lost your 10p E/W on the National in 1974 I don't know.

In fact I tipped Red Alligator in '68 and that was the first and last time I ever tipped anything. Since then I have been like Uncle Spielberg, but blindfolded while riding a rollercoaster and with a pin with my predictions.
