Anyone turning up with "Chelskis" on their shirt gets a long hard look at the inside of a Withdean toilet.

Surely it would make sense to parade him tonight if things are this sorted. Imagine the atmosphere!

Too right. And there's the chance of re-opening that "We've got a Russian International" chant that hasn't been used since Sergei Gotsmanov. Except Kanchelskis is Ukranian. Or something.

But seriously between that and the Prescott Yes to Falmer stuff should get the atmosphere going which has got to be a help in points and convincing players like Knight to stay.

Get it signed :clap2:

Just think what a buzz and what a lift it would give both the fans and players if Kanchelskis was paraded around before kick off tonight ahead of what will arguably be our hardest game all season...

Kanchelskis is Russian, but he hasn't played for years after a fall out with the coach.

He's Ukrainian but played for Russia.

No, I don't understand it either,

The same way that many players born in one country play for another - the 'grandparents' rule. It was all complicated when the USSR broke up, and the Soviet Union team (for which he had played) disappeared. Kanchelskis could play for either Ukraine or Russia, and, although he was born in Ukraine to Ukrainian parents, he chose Russia as one of his grandparents was Russian. For this reason, his erstwhile countrymen utterly despise him.

That's a bit harsh, especially as he probably only chose according to the wishes of the Russian Mafia.
