In the event that he does sign: he's been in the Middle East for a year, presumably we'll have to get international clearance for him.

Bearing in mind it took weeks to get clearance for an English guy (Wilson-Denis) who's been in Ireland for a while, how long will it take the FA to sort out someone who's been in Saudi? My money's on his debut being against Notts County on November 22nd ;)

Damn. I found out today that I have to work on the Notts County away game. I'm gonna miss Colonel k's debut.:nono:

We won't hear anything today I don't reckon, hopefulyl we'll hear by the wekend but I suspect not. I still tihnk he'll make his debut on monday in fornt of the sky cameras.

But then I'm just speculating, and have no insider informaiton or otherwise. :D

Nor will there be today.

The guy is thinking it over - that'll be at least overnight, as it isn't an easy decision if it isn't quite 'what he wants'.

I can't imagine we will hear within the next 24 hours. So everybody, calm down and be patient.

It shouldn't be a tough decision. I've said it before and I'll say it again:

If he loved the Albion he wouldn't care about his family.

I guess that if his family are happily settled in East Grinstead, wouldn't it be fairly likely that he would also be allowed to work in the country in order to support them? Therefore he probably wouldn't need a work permit?

Look I've checked and he's not signed. That is not to say that he won't, it's to confirm he hasn't as of 1900 today.

I'm sure he will sign.

We need to get the registeration from his Saudi club though and that could take a long time. 2 weeks to get Wilson-Denis's from Ireland.

I'll believe it when Safeway says it.
