Anyone else heard/read reports of this style of 'eye of an eye' style justice law in Iran ? Latest news reports say that the use of acid to blind someone in a revenge style sentence have been delayed ?

The penalty for the "crime" of homosexuality is normally punished by hanging. According to President Aalhavemydinnerback, Homosexuality has ceased to exist in Iran. I think that it's a bit tough on first time offenders.

Does it count if you are drunk and there is no kissing?

watched a documentary about all their goings on the other day, showed them chopping off peoples hands and a doctor taking some fuckers eye out etc. the hand chopping went wrong and the fingers just went everywhere like someone using their pasta maker for the first time.

grim.

The odd thing is that despite the severity of the punishment it doesn't seem to deter the criminal.

dunno about that what was the crime rate before they started doing all this. i presume it was after the revolution they started all this hanging people off cranes business.

we had a girl disfigured by an acid attack she now has a telly programme and is a national heroine and the bloke got a reasonably lengthy but not shockingly long sentence and will get out a relatively young man.

Well if you don't mind paying for the subsequent spiralling out of control disability benefits bill that would ensue, as people can't work due to having no hands, feet, eyes etc.

as hypothetical situations go this is a belter by anyones standards.
