BBC News - John Catt loses court case over protest data
That is all, signing off for today, roger over and out.

In this case, I'm on his side. Peaceful protest is legal in this country.
Smash EDO stages regular protests. Although many people at Smash EDO protests do not commit criminal offences, disorder and criminality has been a feature of a number of the protests."
Many people do not commit crimminal offences....that means some do...therefore it is not a PEACEFUL protest... I understand that Mr Catt has a solicitor daughter and is a serial complainer......come the revolution....
On a general point, I think it's a good thing there are people like Mr Catt in our society. We may not agree with him always, but we live in very apathetic times.
Ok, you've persuaded me to overcome my apathy: let's start a "Smash 'Smash EDO' " group. Personally, I think it's criminal the way that group picks on a single company - surely an infringement on EDO's right to run a lawful business? And from the reports I've seen, these protests usually seem to go further than is reasonable from a "peaceful protest".
(There... That should set this thread up for at least 20 pages of angry bickering!)
Anyone who disagrees with the right to protest would have loved living under communism.
Personally I'm glad I was brought up in the free world.
Each to his own.
