Lamptey has arrived in our 1st team much the same way Wan-Bissaka arrived in the Palace 1st team. I'm not saying his 'trajectory' will be the same, but if he plays most games, expect a lot of admiring glances from the 'top 6' or whatever they're called these days.

Pace like that, coupled with clear ability is hard to find.

Chelsea's loss , our gain , excellent debut against a good team with fast creative players , it really was a pleasure to watch a young English Brighton player with ability beyond his years and electric pace , hopefully we as fans don't put too much pressure on him too soon and we let him develop under the Bruno wing , exciting times ahead for this young man , and hopefully us as well .

It won't be until we see how consist Tariq's tackling is that we can really rate him. His speed and attacking prowess looks extremely encouraging.
But Wan-Bissaka is on a different level to most full-backs when it comes to making tackles, hence his £50m transfer fee.

If Tariq can win tackles we will have a top player in our side.

Vardy - 'haha, young kid, I'll take him on the outside :D'

Tariq - 'time for your bed bath, old man'

Watching the clip again, interesting to see Vardy push him in the back as he runs away from him in a '****ing hell I'm never going to catch the little sh*t' kind of way. Marvellous scenes :D

He was magnificent, already courting attention though. Villa supporting relative reckons they will sign him in the close season.

Indeed, the last thing we want is Chelsea coming sniffing around. :moo:

Possibly a turning point in Vardys career; "Bugger, I can no longer match the fastest".

Yeah that's what I meant....when Vardy is being interviewed in 20 years time and asked the usual 'so when did you really first know your career was on the slide.....?' question comes up it'll be that time some little kid - on debut - from Brighton caught him, took the ball off him and sprinted away from him :D

Hi guys i thought I'll offer you a Chelsea perspective on Lamptey.

His display against Leicester didn't surprise me in the slightest, he came on for us against Arsenal at The Emirates with us 1-0 down and Arsenal were struggling to cope with him (I was shocked he wasn't brought on when you were in the same position against the same opponents last weekend), he was one of the reasons we turned the game around. He was one of my favourite players coming through the ranks and I rushed home to tune into your game Vs Leicester when he realised he was starting.

I saw a comparison between the Salah and KDB situation and while I wouldn't be remotely surprised to see him become a world class player it wouldn't be up there. Those two weren't given chances in favour of players like Oscar and Juan Cuadrado, unfortunately for Tariq he had Reece James Infront of him who is , if he was a LB I'd go as far as saying he'd be an undisputed starter already.

I'm very happy for him that he's found a good move and a club that value and appreciate him, enjoy him he's an absolute gem of a talent.

I am really looking forward to see how our little gem performs on Tuesday. I would think he is a lot faster than Luke Shaw who he may be up against.
