From the Daily Echo report - Adkins rues crucial decisions after Brighton defeat From Daily Echo)

"Nigel Adkins felt Saints were hard done by in their 3-0 defeat at Brighton.

Saints had a catalogue of refereeing decisions go against them including:

- Adam Lallana’s shot that crossed the line not being given as a goal

-Dan Harding picking up a disputed early booking that saw him have to be substituted in order to prevent an early sending off

- A Rickie Lambert penalty appeal turned down

- Lambert red carded after a tussle with Adam El-Abd "

It really is astonishing. A disputed booking for Harding? The only dispute was whether it should have been a straight red!

They were a little unlucky with the goal that wasn't given, but they were lucky harding wasn't sent off before he was subbed off! twat!

He needs to remember that we beat the best team in the league with a side RAVAGED by injury and suspension. Four(?) reserve/development squad players including one that hasn't trained with us for two months.

How on EARTH did the early booking for Harding directly lead to him having to be taken off? He got taken off because he continued to defend like a badly-controlled puppet.

It's as if everything associated with SCC is somehow infected with some obnoxious form of myopic arrogance - not only Adkins and the fans, but the club's official website and even the local media. To say Harding's booking was 'disputed' is absolutely laughable.

And brighton only needed ten men!

Is that the same Echo Journo who was bleating on about how nasty we were last season to ickle Nigel Katkins? So yet another bitter little Mordor-dweller who can't take defeat gracefully innit. At least he doesn't seem to care about us though.

They are so so deluded. Harding should have been second yellow carded and off. Lambert pushed Adam away and deserved got a straight red.Their commentators rant about Adam cheating at the Withdean was a typical low shot , exactly what one would expect from D&R.

Still glowing over the result.

Which is odd because the Echo are banned from St Mary's and the training ground.

“To go down to ten men is challenging but we wanted to win the game and we tried our best to leave two up the field of play. Guly had a gluteal injury as well so Jonathan Forte went up there"

Good to see they couldn't even beat us when playing our mascot up front!!!!!!

The Daily Echo was the same rag that tried to do a lot of shit stirring last season, this latest pile of crap comes as no surprise. That what happens when a provincial hack becomes a Sun wannabe.

The paper is crap, makes the Sport sound factual.

Indeed they are, but they were definitely at Withdean last season. Actually, I've just found out they sent a different hack on that day (Gordon Simpson, Senior Sports Reporter no less) but the rubbish he spouted was predictably similar in its bias. Am I bovvered though?

:lolol: So true! Was it Adams who called him a puppet before? He thinks so much of himself it must have brought him back down to earth with an almighty thump being HUMILIATED by Buckley and then taken off BEFORE half time.

Love to see what he wrote about the penalty at SMS that was OUTSIDE the area to allow Lambert to score......

Southampton looked a one dimensional team as everything was centred on lambert. Once he went off they looked lost and even more so once their only other source of goals, do prado, went off too. think they will struggle over the next 3 games. One trick ponies IMO, very successful so far but a real test for them without their 2 main goal scores.

Have you f***ing seen the challenge by Harding you prick !!! It was a clean take of the ball. He swept the ball away and his legs werent off the floor. Your players were diving at every opportunity. and look at the way the rest of your cheating players congratulated El Abd after his discusting reaction. Albion have always for me been a fair team but your oilbag racist manager has changed all that. You'll try any cheating method to get a result. Only problem is your miles adrift at the bottom of the fair play league and are known as the league's cheats. Even more dirty than Pompey.

I just can't get over the fact that a player of Lambert's quality is supposedly capable of trying to strike the ground, yet missing. If it'd been Barn Door, I might be able to believe it, but are we really supposed to accept that Planet Earth was too small a target for Lambert to accurately aim for?
