Just how big are MASSIVE Wednesday?

Next season League One could possibly have, Massive, Wayne Rooneys Derby, Sunderland,#tw@s, Wigan Wimbledon, Charlton and Blackpool, all who have been Premier League teams in the not too distant past. Or are traditionally big clubs.

That is an extraordinary line up.

And not forgetting previous winners of the UEFA Cup

Ipswich Town

And probably Bolton Wanderers

Matches can be viewed on Sky's new channel Premier League Gold.

In January 2019 SWFC launched the 1867 Club Scheme. Asking supporters for a one off £455 payment, over and above their s/t charges, in return getting their first EPL season’s s/t for ‘free’ should they ever be promoted.

Separate to this, many supporters have paid for s/t’s years in advance under their Multi-Season Scheme.

Crikey, they’re badly run.

Reminds me of Leeds under Risdale issuing a £60m bond secured against the next 25 years s/t income, essentially a mortgage. Blowing all the cash then in transfer fees and wages, afterwards paying 8% interest for 25 years and repenting at leisure. A major reason behind their financial downfall.

Highlighting again what a sound duo we have in TB and PB.

In fact, all ten clubs mentioned have won the FA Cup in the past - it's going to be a hell of a league

Winning the FA cup in the dim and distant past as a one off, perhaps, doesn’t mean you’re any good now. Your players, manager, coaching and so on NOW is what matters.

It's not all that dim and distant, five of them have won the FA Cup since I've been watching football :)

But I was referring to the fact that one of them had won the UEFA Cup when all of them have had domestic pedigree.

Totally agree

Yet people still expect the club to spend £40 million on a striker!!

Just had a Sheff Wed fan on 6-0-6. Guess which word he used TWICE to describe his team? [emoji38]
I was listening at the time and had a hearty chuckle at this. To be fair, he also described Derby, Sunderland and Portsmouth as MASSIVE.

Obviously only Wednesday and Portsmouth are proper MASSIVE though, both on a par with Liverpool and Man Utd.
