Yes, our resident brexiteers have gone tellingly quiet on such issues. Now they just revert to "you must believe" or "wait ten years" soundbites.

They've run away from main thread but keep trying to start new culture wars elsewhere amongst themselves. They were never going to happy Brexit or no Brexit.

Dozens of migrants arrive on Kent beaches after crossing the Channel for first time in a week as asylum seekers being held in army barracks claim they're being 'crammed into rooms of 20'

Migrants arrived in Dover in early hours of the morning after crossing Channel
Refugees staying at an army barracks in Kent revealed poor living conditions
Just two days ago, four Sudanese asylum seekers who travelled 3,000 miles across five countries to get to the UK, said: 'We wish we had stayed in France'

Whilst you are following the government finger and looking at a few asylum seekers, Johnson is telling people the wrong information about his own covid lockdown rules. Telling people up north things that will land them a hefty fine.

Why don’t you get a few renegades together and head down to the Kent beaches armed with pitchforks and a “can do” attitude? The Tory government most of you voted in have overseen the biggest rise in net migration since records began. They’re clearly not up to the job so surely it’s up to Gammony Thicket and his merry band of racists.

Absolutely insane that Johnson doesn't understand his own rules. What does this man have to do to draw criticism from his worshipers on here.
I reckon some on here could return home to find Johnson and Cummings spit roasting their wife and simply say "Thanks for Brexit chaps, fill yer boots"

People up north aren't that easily fooled.

There nothing new in what Johnson is offering. Remember the Tories were the ones that sold the green investment bank to McQuarrie to make a fast buck

Nice to see some sizeable investments in green technologies, French are investing 20B, the Germans double that...

It's all the usual guff and promises though, a few years back Johnson ridiculed wind power as an option now apparently, its going to save the country and we will all live like The Jetsons...

I'm 60 years old and I have lived most of my life under Tory governments and standard policy is to cut public services and flog off almost every public utility they have ever been in control of. That speech was purely for the Tory faithful in the hope of buying Johnson some time.

Another day another disaster in the waiting...

Bounce back loans: Taxpayers may lose £26bn on unpaid loans

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54432916

Looks like £1.9BN lost to criminals thrown, the lack of checks required by the banks on behalf of HM Government has been wreckless

Sunak is showing his inexperience, way out of his depth.

Where are the tax payers alliance when you need them?

whats the issue here, lack of checks or potential for unpaid loans, when everyone was demanding the government do more to help business. unsurprisingly, many businesses taking loans in this crisis would go bust anyway, so do we want government to pay out more or to have not paid out anything?
