There is something deeply wrong with Gove. Apart from the racism and homophobia. There’s been some footage of him out and about and in the House where he appears to be very substance affected.
I would not be at all surprised if some very unsavoury muck is raked up on him in years to come.
Surely after say 12 years has passed what people said then shouldn’t matter?

It’s a shame , I thought for a while back there that Cummings was going to have quite a big impact and take a few down but I guess his disgraceful behaviour in lockdown destroyed his credibility. Damned shame.
People seemed to have a fairly big problem with things Corbyn had said in the 1980s when he was LOTO…

In 2009, 12 years ago, Gove was 42 years old and an MP. David Cameron (his former friend) had appointed him Shadow Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families
So...
In 2009 he was a grown up, (middle aged) man in a very public, responsible role. His speeches and writings had (and have) importance to many in terms of shaping their values.
It matters.
He was and is a disgrace.....
In fact, the worst of his comments were made when he was in his mid twenties and rather looser in his language.
Whilst I accept that people change over time, his public slurs against people from the former colonies, several women and homosexuals are a matter of record and certainly reflected his mind set at the time. Change? Maybe, but not often completely.... and almost certainly not in Gove's case.
