paragraph 6-

Continuing the fussball theme, you have to feel sorry for Brighton & Hove Albion at the moment. Not only are their bitterest rivals Crystal Palace on a phenomenal run of form, but the Seagulls are now on the verge of going out of business too, after their application to build a new ground at Falmer was turned down. Whether you support Charlton, Chester or Canvey Island, this is an issue that could affect your club sooner or later. Show your support by signing our petition and letting John Prescott know there’s more to football than Terry ‘Enry City and Ruud Van Utd.

What gave them the impression that we could go out of business?
Maybe stuff like "we have less than 7 days to save the Albion", "No Falmer = No Albion" and "make no mistake, without Falmer the Albion will not survive". Some of my mates were under the impression that if Prescott says no, we'll go bust straight away.

I wrote that newsletter. :)

The 'out of business' line is there to get people to take notice - "they might eventually go out of business in 2006" doesn't have the same DO SOMETHING NOW clamour about it...

nice one:clap:

So we'll "be in business" will we, if Prescott says no?

What kind of business?

Planning for when permission to use Withdean runs out?

And when will that happen, bearing in mind that we have permission for Withdean only on condition that there is a new stadium in the pipeline?

We would be very lucky to see 2006.
