Just got Peterborough tickets

It's not though is it? We asked for the remainder of our allocation to be sent down so we could try and sell them all in advance.

Peterborough's original plan was to send down a certain amount (the first batch being 900) and put the rest up for sale on the day as POTG. The club are the one's at fault for claiming it will not be pay on the day, as far as I can tell.

You may be right, the reason the club did this was probably because they expected it to be a sellout, and couldn't risk too many turning up at Pboro without tickets. These things are all done on advisement, the club don't do it on purpose to upset the fans. If they had sold 2000, then said POTG, and another 2000 had turned up (as some have suggested might happen), there would have been chaos at the ground, and that could have been more far reaching consequences as to future matches and ticketing elsewhere. Just give them a chance, buy the tickets, go to the game, no bother, and you're guaranteed to get in.

Those banging about selling out and panicing were in cuckoo land.

The club have created the panic by advising 900 sold when this wasn't strictly true.

I stand by my 2,500 but anything over 1500 is superb away support.

Lets face it , 600 on that terrace would crack out a hell of a noise so will be brilliant.

People need to realise that to sell THREE THOUSAND away tickets to a league one club is astonishingly good, considering the distance to the ground and the fact we took more than 3000 to Charlton less than 2 weeks ago. To have this many fans following you, week in week out away from home is terrific, absolutely fantastic.

But that is a decision for Peterborough to make, as it always has been, no doubt with input from BHA on the numbers likely to travel and the local police. I can't see the latter wanting/allowing a situation whereby there are hundreds of away fans seeking to gain admission to London Road on saturday without advance tickets.

Shambles from the ticket office. If they were straight with people from the start we wouldn't be in a situation where fans are cancelling their plans based on false advice. For their sake I hope its not pay on the gate, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered spending an extra £1 on an admin fee I never needed to pay!

Peterborough United manager Gary Johnson is calling on the club's supporters to make London Road a sea of blue and white for the visit of table toppers Brighton and Hove Albion.

The club have branded the fixture as 'Blue and White Day' and are urging fans to wear club colours to ensure a 'cup-tie' atmosphere inside London Road.

Ahead of kick-off, blue and white balloons will be released from the centre circle and our giant 'wibbly wobbly' men will be in all corners of the stadium.

We will have face painters making sure the younger Posh supporters are catered for and as the teams emerge from the tunnel, we will have flag-wavers on hand.

However, to make this a success, we need YOU, the Posh fans, to make the stadium a sea of colour, so make sure you wear blue and white!

Boss Johnson said: 'The atmosphere at London Road has been very good this season and I am sure that a noisy home support will give us that extra edge.

'The supporters can be the 12th man and I will be getting into the spirit too, I will have my blue and white Posh scarf and it would be great to see everyone in blue and white for the day'.

Fans are advised to purchase tickets in advance for Saturday's match as a large crowd is expected. Tickets can be bought online at Peterborough United Online Ticketing
where there are no booking fees!

Say 2.300 sold then we just advise Peterborough the number and they therefore have 700 for pay on the day like they do most weeks.

Can't see either club ruling this out when not a sell out and it results in more cash in the coffers.

Not fussed really , have my ticket and if 2k sold thats good enough for me

just in case anyone is considering winging the train - for the last 4 Saturdays Peterboro station have had guards at the exits checking tickets and dishing out fines.

Of course it will still be pay on the gate. This happens every time a game is labeled as all ticket. People on here get all flustered about it. Then come the day of the game you can get in. Unless a game sells out you will always be able to pay on the gate as the police will not want Albion fans wandering around their towns with nothing to ocuppy themselves with.

I disagree with this statement

Peterborough away has always been a 'biggie' for the fans, firm, and on Saturday matches played there over the the last 10 years or so, we have always taken LOADS to stand behind the goal

Attendance at Peterborough would have been big, even if we had only been mid-table, not top.

2000 fans going away, for a division 3 match, 300 mile round trip, fuel at £2.20 a litre, trains costing upwards of £50, I think that is pretty respectable. As for the situation about POTG or all ticket, when will people get real? This is not the clubs decision, it's Pboro, and the Police. As for the bollocks about members/non members, why have these 'oh so passionate' fans not yet sorted out their white or blue memberships yet?

maybe because the " oh so passionate " fans are not that passionate about joining a membership scheme as most away games are pay on the gate - perhaps they are not super-fans - perhaps they have a life and only go to a few games a season - god only knows superphil god only knows
