It's all coming together for Villa. Good chairman, good manager, lots of British players, good mix between youth and experience - they've got as much of a chance of breaking Top 4 as Spurs had under Jol, if not more.

Agree, although they certainly should have had stripey jumpers on today as everton were robbed and were by far imho the better team, but performances dont always get the points!

must of seen a different game , although everton had most possesion, for the most part i thought they were cluless and the fans were on their back. They strung it together last 10 but apart from that thought they were poor + lacked ideas.

What channel were you watching??

I was there mate & the fans were great even when jageilka made the awful error the fans chanted his name, that defo wouldnt happen at fickle withdean!

I definately didnt see a different game. Everton hit the bar, had one cleared off the line and were very unlucky, granted with only one striker it was slow going forward as villa had the paceto break but one of the best ever games ive ever attended. On top of that I think the ref also had a stinker, but hey ho thats footie.

i was at the game as well! Just got back
Thought Everton deserved to win really, very unlucky but villa just got them on the break with young, even with a bit of help from the everton defenders!
Was a great game though

BYF - Did you come down to the Lane, last week?

To see the whingeing, whining blue noses lose is enough for me. If they should have won but still lost-even better. One of my best friends is an Evertonian but they are such a bitter bunch of fans so whenever they lose it's a bonus for me...

Saw the game on Sky, Everton did have more of the play and should have won but both sides contributed to an enjoyable game, not the best for skill but tops for effort, there will probably be a few injuries as a result of the many heavy challengers.

Agree. One of my favourite Premier League teams for the reasons above, plus:

1. They're not Arsenal or Chelsea

2. They'e got Gareth Barry

3. They've got the redheaded guy who played on loan at Brighton ... forget his name ... so some Albion links.

Sidwell. Cracking goal today.

4. Martin O'Neill. Always good value.

Yep, great game for the neutral, good old blood and thunder english game and yes as they said on MOTD2 well done to ther ref for allowing the game to flow and the players for not acting. Everton dominated large parts and certainly deserved something out of the game but you can't go to sleep in defence like they did and not get punished.
