Just got back from Munich. Bought a ticket ages ago in the hope that England would be there.

Sadly it wasn't to be but still a great experience nonetheless. I swear 20% of the stadium was English, hence the Ronaldo boos. Great to see him cry at the end, marvellous scenes.

The commentators mentioned the number of empty seats, suggesting that they had been bought by people whose teams had already departed, saw a few on the TV myself but didn't look like there were that many.

Would you have stayed there no matter who was playing?

Paddy said there were a few empty spots. A lot of people stayed out there since accommodation and flights were already booked on the off chance.

Five more days and he is back, the kids are on summer holiday now and I absolutely cannot wait. I am not cut out to be a single parent at.all and those of you that are have my total respect.

There were a few empty seats, but not many, and I suspect most were corporate hospitality people still in their boxes!

Loads of English still out there. Probably as many English in Munich city centre after the game as there was French.

And yep I joined in the booing, OF COURSE!

By the way, I would have said, did you see my England/Brighton flag, but some frenchman decided to cover it with theirs and well, it was their party really!

If I had a ticket for a World Cup Semi Final then I would definitely have stayed, regardless of who was playing, you don't get many chances to go to a game like that. Back in the early 90's I was offered a ticket to the all Sheffield FA Cup Semi Final, which I gladly accepted, probably the best game I have watched as a neutral-ish fan (I wanted Wednesday to win because several members of my family support them).

That was my view. How often do you get the chance to go to a World Cup Semi for goodness sakes. I think a lot of the English took that view.

I went to Portsmouth v Nottm Forest in the FA Cup Quarter Finals a while back (in the Forest fans of course) but only because my mate offered me a ticket. If its free and the Albion are away, why not.

Mind you I didn't enjoy being threatened by a drunk German in the middle of Munich, but I suppose every country has its drunk tossers.
