Just back from the game.....

Have to say I am gutted I have just paid £22 to watch that tosh!!

WHY is MM playing Chippie and Oatway, again passing to the opposition and generally chasing after the opposing the players! (both had a very bad day at the office!)

Henderson, well I wont even go there!!

Defence was ok but could not see the rebound goal from the home end!

We need changes now or we will be visiting Div.1 next year!

I'm exiled up in Leeds

:lolol:

Referee performance was on par with Crewe away last year. Without seeing a replay, the first goal should not have been!

Leon brought down by a foul and stayed down whilst the ref allowed Hull to go on and score!!

Hull were the better team and deserved the win!

MM is building up to a huge end of season recovery and escape from relegation. He will persist in turning out players that are underperforming, whilst playing the best ones out of position. Then, with 10 wins under our belt and six games to go, he will put his master plan into action, and recover 6 wins in 6 matches to keep us up, have himself recognised as a master manager, and hope he gets poached by someone else.

Not sure where we are going now. These players must be doing well in training, otherwise he would be making a prat of himself putting them in the team. He would not be selecting crap players - maybe he sees something long term in how he is managing the team. Maybe Henderson is the next England keeper, we just don't see it yet - much as he frequently doesn't see that big, round white thing which keeps ending up in the net-thing behind him.....

See McPhee scored for Aldershot, hope is on to a good loan.

A badly taken pen apparently. :lolol:

What would we give for a badly taken penalty at the moment?

I find all this too depressing at the moment, the only positive side of any of this is that Portsmouth are getting regular stuffings as well - and as I am surrounded by members of Perrin's Bleu et Blanc Armee (all members of the 6:57, so I am led to believe - what a HUUUUGE crew that must be!) - it's not all bad!

As he is an Irish U21 Internatinal that is as unlikely as David James being an England keeper......

Sorry, typo - but then again, maybe he can be naturalised. I heard them on 5Live saying that Cudicini could be naturalised to play for England now....!

If they are getting desperate, my gran could be rolled out in a No 1 jersey - she has Alzheimers, but I bet should could remember what a f***ing cross is......which is more than male model James can manage these days.

Oatway and Carpenter have been outclassed in every game this season. We really need a quality central midfielder to play alongside hammond otherwise we will have no chance this year.

And yet McGhee insists on playing them. Either McGhee sees something that we don't or he is a crap manager.

PS Or he feels that he has no viable options.

Now I know I don't get to games but one of the alternative options would be Nicolas. Just based on listening to the commentary, and I know it's hard to make an observation that way, but it hasn't sounded at all like things have improved when Nicolas comes on. In fact against Crewe they got their goals soon after the changes were made.

Maybe El Abd could come in at right back, Dodd at left back and put Reid in midfield with Chippy and Oatway and Hammond and Carole on the wings. Put Leon and Turi up front and give CKR a bit of a break on the bench to relieve the pressure.

I didn't go today hands up...... but I said last week the chippy/charlie midfield is woefuly woefully inept at this standard.

I wasn't at Hull today, but in the two games I've seen so far this season Chippy has been away with the fairies, and Oatway very average at best. But you have to remember that that is the partnership that has brought us success in the past and kept us in this divison only a few months ago. I'm not saying we should persist with them forever, but we are only 4 games into the season. MM is no mug, I'm sure he is already thinking about possible alternatives if this run of poor form continues. But based on past performances, he has to give these guys a chance to turn things around before dumping them. Every player goes through patches of poor form. If MM didn't give them a fighting chance after all they have achieved for this club, what would happen to our so called crazy gang spirit?

Considering Henderson is actually Irish Irish (and not a total Cascarino, eh, fake); theres about as much chance as Watford O willingly having a mosque in his living room, or Ernest having a quite cup of tea at Dick Knight's house.

It's the left that is the problem. Until that is sorted out and/or Mayo returns from injury then Hammond and Reid will stay on that side because we lack options.

There are 11 days until the transfer window closes I'd imagine in the next few days those players who now have an inkling that they won't get into their own sides may start being loaned out, released or sold.

My first game of the season today and a few observations:

1. CKR is not a front man - as suggested by the Bury fans looks best suited to a supporting role/attacking mid

2. Leon is not a midfielder.

3. Hammond would make our central midfield more effective if he was played there

4. Henderson is a very poor subsitute for Blayney

5. McShane looks good.

I am a big Magoo fan but think that we're playing some good players in totally the wrong position and could end up ruining a very promising player in CKR
