Your logic is flawed on on key issue.
Most demonstrations are against issues which can be rectified by those who the march is aimed at. They are normally aimed at policy or attitude change
A march about pay - A pay rise would fix.
A march against a war - The decision COULD be made to not go to war. It probably won't but it is something that someone has the power to stop
A march against working conditions - The employees can alter the working conditions
A march for a stadium - Give us the stadium.
A rise against EXTREMISM makes literally no sense. The extremism is being caused by outside sauces whose ENTIRE aim is to cause problems, inconvenience and suffering. They are not going to look at the march and say "oh, they don't like it. Maybe we should think about this"
And if someone somehow thinks that this march is raising the issue to the government then bloody hell. The government know we are not keen on getting stabbed or blown up. The march by "the lads" is hardly going to be a reality check for them.
Still, good luck to the 'Football Lads' and their fight against whatever it is they are against/for.
