Brighton & Hove Albion is about to strengthen itself with Jürgen Locadia. The striker comes, when the last folds are smoothed out, for around sixteen million euros from PSV. English sources confirm this to VI.
The 24-year old Locadia is currently recovering from an upper leg injury that will keep him on the sidelines for a few weeks. For Brighton, however, that is no reason not to transfer. The PSV is expected on Friday in England for a medical examination.
PSV reached an agreement with Brighton in the last few days about a transfer fee of around sixteen million euros. The Eindhoven team already had a new striker earlier this month with Maximiliano Romero, allowing a departure from Locadia with the current group of players.
With his transfer to Brighton, the number sixteen of the Premier League, Locadia still gets his desired transfer to England. Last summer, the attacker wanted to leave for Wolverhampton Wanderers, but at the last moment PSV decided to let that transfer down.
For PSV, the transfer from Locadia comes at a particularly good time. The leader of the Eredivisie had to close a gap of some five million euros due to the early elimination in Europe, something that has immediately succeeded. Locadia, this season good for nine goals in fifteen Eredivisie-duels, meets his former teammate Davy Pröpper at Brighton, which last year PSV earned thirteen million
