A classic case of 'what did the Romans ever do for us?' If we had won all that we would have evaporated in a cauldron of our own hysteria. That is great in 8 years.

He's done the right thing at the right time. Any player downing tools now is a...tool.These things are usually announced at the end, or towards the end of the season. Certainly easier to do off the back of a trophy or two, go out in glory. As it is, we are in January with Liverpool still in four competitions. Not exactly an ideal time for your manager to say he’s off. We are not sure how this will impact the team. It might galvanise them and already we‘re hearing “do it for Jürgen,” or it could destabilise. It could be then that someone found out and the media were about to break the story. If so Liverpool would have been “bounced” into doing this now.
Precisely.Nah. He told the club a couple of months ago, so the news was going to leak and he thought it best to announce it before everyone found out. He can also try and get the team to all pull together for one season of glory.
its already started, let's face it what's there not to like for him or Liverpool, a club used to innovation, plenty of links already, no stress that pivotal players will be poached meaning the stress of trying to pick a precise team with limited resources is greatly diminished (whereas once again we find ourselves in the position of trying to ward off the poachers, this time for our greatest asset (Uncle Tony excepted). My guess is that we are already in talks, at least nothing will happen during the season, Liverpool, Klopp and RDZ are not c***s like Chelsea et al.Great. Months of De Zerbi to Liverpool rumours.
8 years that have coincided with Pep Guardiola's tenure at City, a combination that’s been more efficient and more ruthless than any team in my lifetime — and I’m pretty ancient. That is great in 8 years.
I don't know if I could handle that. I found it hard to warm to him first time around...Don't worry about RDZ. If he goes he goes.
Perhaps Potter comes back after all.
There'd be people on here moaning that we would have won more if the incompetent recruitment team had signed a midfielder ready to slot straight into the team in January.A classic case of 'what did the Romans ever do for us?' I’ve enjoyed Klopp.
City are the best club in the world, and should be able to attract the best managers. Roberto is not the second best manager.Pep’s post match interview last night was interesting. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he now quits City at the end of the season.
Now that would be more of a concern for us re: RDZ!
I agree. Albeit this depends whether the players have become entitled, and unwilling to accept a manager who hasn't won anything. That said, RDZ takes no prisoners, and yet seems to be loved by (our) players.Pep’s post match interview last night was interesting. So, he's loved by the players we haven't sold after they fell out with him?I agree. Albeit this depends whether the players have become entitled, and unwilling to accept a manager who hasn't won anything. That said, RDZ takes no prisoners, and yet seems to be loved by (our) players.
Who haven't we sold after they fell out with him?So, he's loved by the players we haven't sold after they fell out with him?
They'll find their way down to us, just like Adam and MillieVVD has already come out and said he is considering his future now that Liverpool will be Klopless (18 months left on his contract). Salah is in the same 18 month boat.
It may not just be Klopp they end up losing this summer.
