Please await

Can't see it myself, or though if I am wrong I will apologise.

Reason I am doubtful. We possibly cannot match his wages, there would also be rumours on Twitter, in The Argusm this is why I am doubtful.
Don't want to build myself up for nothing to happen.

its not that alone though Albumen, ive watched him play a lot, best friend at work is a mackem and ive been to see them a few times.

Imagine the Donny fans all saying how great it was they were signing billy paynter from the league above and then a donny fans posts opinions from NSC, were the Albion fans opinions all wrong? not in our evaluation of him at our club they weren't.

Could he do well here? yes maybe. Do the sunderland fans think he's shite, yes absolutely. Did i honestly think he was any good when i watched them last season? No he wasnt, he was a passenger

But if you take the blinkers off and take into account his international record, his record in Holland and the fact that we play against championship teams every week, it doesn't seem like he's so obviously rubbish all of a sudden.

its unproven what he will be at this level in our set up, its not blinkered to suggest the sunderland fans think he is shite, or that he was anonymous when I saw him a few times last season and was shite. To suggest he will be good here simply because he's got USA caps or scored a few in Holland is by no means certain and depends on what the definition of successful is.

He may improve CMS, he is a physical presence we don't have and could offer something different on those basis.... however, I dont believe this rumour is true anyway, poyet said he's happy at sunderland less than 24 hours ago

There are plenty of worse strikers we could realistically sign....but also probably quite a lot of better ones.

That's kind of what I'm saying. He has been crap for Sunderland but he might do better dropping down a level and playing in a different system. It's just the outpouring of negativity that I take umbridge with, people can't seem to look at player signings objectively.

Agree that it's not happening though, this is a ridiculous rumour

Better than O'Grady I would say. But would still need a goalscorer in addition to him.

It could have been apart of the Buckley deal but just taken us a long time to agree personal terms

Why do people think we will sign 2 strikers . Think it looks like we will only play 1 up top so cms, cog , fenlon and 1 top quality striker and think that's fine.

My view is that Fenelon is better served going out on loan to league 1 to get regular starts.

We can do this if we bring in 2 strikers.

Hoping for Vossen and 1 other.

Personally I'd expect Fenelon to go out on loan again and perhaps CMS to be sold, if we were looking to bring in 2 strikers. Maybe a shake up is what we need upfront, Baldock, COG and Altidore would be pretty good for this division.

None of your buisness
He has pace and strength. He's a lot quicker than Ulloa. At this level, he will probably be a handful for most defenders.

Interesting how fickle people are.

Noone - can't cross, too lightweight will never be a premiership player

Upson on joining - he's clearly finished and no use whatsoever. He can't last a season and we will do well to get 10 games from him.

Barnes - League One player - if we have any aspirations to get promoted we should get rid. No club would want to spend money on him who are anything other than a league one side.

Bridge - more interested in celebrity lifestyle and is coming here just to collect wages. Useless signing.

Just interesting to see how people have such intelligent factually based opinions when we sign or don't sign someone.

Perhaps we should sit back and see who we sign and then see how they play. Would be a novel idea.

I would LOVE IT if we somehow signed Vossen.

Mind you, I'd also LOVE IT if I won the Euromillions on Friday night, and both are probably about as likely as each other.
