After we signed Izquierdo I promised myself I wouldn't moan about which striker we signed even if it was Wood or Zohore - both of which I dreaded.

I didn't expect us to sign no one, though.

So we are where we are. A hostage to fortune on needing good news about the injuries to Brown ( our 'new striker' ), Murray and Baldock.

Oh well - it'll be interesting.

A free agent striker would be a bonus though.

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
Oh how I was mocked by a certain poster for suggesting CH was very shrewd for emphasising Jose is a 'forward' and not just a winger.
As it gave the club a card to play if it didn't sign a striker.

Sounds like a decent card to play, good strategy getting in someone who is a forward

Big, strong, Fast, knows where the goal is.

Convert him to a Centre forward with Gross, Knockaert and Solly behind him and things are suddenly not looking too bad.

Worked for Thierry
5ft 7 mate..... hardly big.

Not really sure he could play the striker position, he is at his best and causes a lot of problems when he is able to cut inside from the wing like he tried against watford.

Anyway he never really played striker at club brugge, and we played in another formation(4-3-3) so can't be sure.

I guess the foreshadowing that "he is primarily a left-sided winger but can also play up front" was pretty strong.

He said the same re Brown. There are other options up front for sure.

We have played 3 games already and not scored, perhaps we should revert to our tried and tested 442. Hemed looks much better in a two as does Murray. Id like a front 4 of:

Knocky Murray Izquiero March

Does anyone know how tall he is :)

Maybe him and Dunk as your classic big man little man duo :)
