Centre backs are catnip to the Albion.

Imagine being a centre half and your agent tells you, 'Brighton aren't interested'.
You'd have to seriously consider retiring.

Following the links I wonder who is the "proven championship goalscorer" that Leeds will talk to at the weekend.

Mention of Grabban from Norwich.

How far down the pyramid do you have to go before finding a division that doesn't have a former Albion player at centre half?

Seems this one fell through -

Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City have made bids for in-demand non-league starlet Jordan Wheatley, HITC Sport understands.

The 17-year-old is one of the stars of Ilkeston's youth squad who made it to the third round of the FA Youth Cup before being beaten narrowly by Newcastle last week, in a game which attracted scouts from more than 40 clubs.

Brighton had previously had a bid accepted for Wheatley but the deal fell through when terms could not be agreed.

But the Championship promotion hopefuls have not give up hope and are back in for the young defender, but now there is major competition for his signature.
