No doubt Derby would also have signed up Glenn Murray if he wasn't so desperate to stay in this region. Laughable how many strikers Derby have.

We could do worse than sign Rhodes but isn't he a professional Northerner who moves for the money? We have no chance

You might hope that he wants to go to a club that might suit him rather than for the money... who am I kidding.

Would love Albion to sign him but I just can't see it unless it was on loan.

Doubt we're in for him. Not what we need, and certainly not at that price. I don't think the striker we're looking for is in England to be honest, unless it's a young player on loan from a PL club. But even then I don't think that's what we need at the moment.

No. He has proved himself a Championship specialist with his lack of game time in the Premier League. He is not the striker we are looking for and wouldn't compliment Murray or Hemed.

If you have asked me a year ago I'd have been very interested but since that time he's played a mere 2 matches in the Prem, he's not even nailed down a Scotland striker position ahead of the likes of Leigh Griffiths, Steven Fletcher and Chris Martin, and we've brought in Glenn Murray.

It doesn't seem the best fit.

I think we should act like we're after him just to detract from whom we're really after.

Over priced, over paid, so not for here. Thanks.

If we are going to splash out big on a striker (as opposed to getting in a loan to help us get over the finishing line), that striker needs to be PL ready (or PL proven). Evidence suggests that is a step too far for JR.

Middlesbro paid the money, he got the goals, they got promioted and their money back. They could afford quite easily to sell him at a slight loss having earned them £100m so we could do the same. Spend the money, get promoted and then put him back on the list for some other team to do the same in 17/18 season. Very simple but not my £8m being spent.

No from me. Too slow and has the turning capacity of a milk float. To be fair our wingers could provide him with some good service which he might thrive on but I think he's massively over priced and not sure he'd add anything.

Quality championship striker and would certainly score goals especially in a 4-4-2 system but he's to expensive and I do recall him being one of the blokes that won't move from the north mmmmm.
