Akanje's penalty was easily the worst one on the night but it still had to be saved. He could have dived the wrong way.
Has any outfield player ever taken any notice of any rebuke by any goalkeeper ever?Respected maybe the wrong choice of words. But it doesn’t look like the team give too much of a shit when he has a go at them every 5 mins.
And wears pervy tiny shortsPigford is a bit of an old skool loose cannon krazy keeper tho eh? Only a matter of time til it next surfaces
What is pervy is noticing it and then circling it.
I wouldn't have wanted you, of all people, to miss itWhat is pervy is noticing it and then circling it.
I have thought for a while that he is "on the spectrum". There may be some Tourette's in there too.As inappropriate (and likely inaccurate) as it is, I'm going to say it anyway...
I reckon he's got ADHD.
I agree with comments above re his distribution and his England shelf life beyond Southgate. As good a shot stopper as he is, he's not the keeper you want in a team that builds from the back.
Yes inappropriate, as I have no doubt many on here have ADHD, myself included. As inappropriate (and likely inaccurate) as it is, I'm going to say it anyway...

Nothing wrong with tourettes....you ar#e su#kerI have thought for a while that he is "on the spectrum". There may be some Tourette's in there too.
I know which I why I said he’s playing in the wrong era. A keeper with a long kick used to be a massive strength when every team had a target man and a poacher upfront, ‘little and large’ front 2. Now it’s a weakness in the modern game.
Bellingham said how they'd all practiced what they were going to do. I'm sure they all did exactly as practice, except people like Toney who just take the pissThis reminds me a bit of Mike Tyson’s quote that everyone has a plan until they’re punched in the face. I agree that they should practice different penalties and you’d think any top pro should be able to place it anywhere they want.
But then it’s the end of extra time, you’ve walked half the length of the pitch like you’re about to face a firing squad and it feels like the whole world is watching…
Odd, don't you perform extremely well when openly castigated by colleagues?Couldn’t put it better myself. That calm-down-scream-at-defenders thing is odd.
If he wore shorts that length in the 70's he'd have been warned not to trip over them.
….and after being shouted at told to calm downOdd, don't you perform extremely well when openly castigated by colleagues?
If that’s the case the French are welcome to him.I have thought for a while that he is "on the spectrum". There may be some Tourette's in there too.
Kids these days, no work ethic!….and after being shouted at told to calm down
Definitely dodgy ground diagnosing from a sofa, but I don't mean any ill by it. Just an observation.Yes inappropriate, as I have no doubt many on here have ADHD, myself included.
So we are a bit lively at times, but we can outperform the neurotypical in many things in life. The creativity can go of the scale, I wouldn't mind betting Banksy is neuro diverse.
Back on topic.....as going off track can be a trait of ADHD, Many footballers are not academics.
This is not aimed at Picks specifically, but I find all the pen shenanigans incredibly tedious. Once the keeper starts walking towards the spot or pisses about with a water bottle I'd like to see the ref just blow up and award a goal straight away.Nah, he deliberately put the bottle a long way away, and walked away from said bottle until their player was stepping towards the penalty spot. He then innocently turned his back and walked away from goal to get his bottle. And when the ref was complaining, he walked to the penalty spot. 'Sorry, what's that ref? Oh yeah, right, howay the lads"
Do people with little arms feel a positive because Pickford also suffers from this? It's a personal thing of course, but if high profile achievers with ADHD were to make it known, it would be a massive positive.
