Stephens does indeed spring to mind. Going against the flow here, Stephens does a job for the Albion, not often full of flair and he gets a lot of criticism, but I bet he is the first name, after the goalie, on the teamsheet and I am inclined to agree with the manager. Henderson is one of those 'necessary' players who just clean up, keep things tight and play almost the same week in, week out.
Jordan Henderson is very good defensive midfielder, with drive to get the team moving, and mobility to plug the leaks as everyone else in midfield piles forward at times. Until better comes along, Henderson and Dier are the best we have for that role.
Very good player. Would be a very welcome addition to the Albion squad, if Liverpool don't want him any more and he was willing to take a pay cut (both rather unlikely, tbf); better than anyone we've currently got.
I just turned the telly on and almost instantaneously Henderson drove the ball forward through four opposition players and threaded the perfect through ball for Sterling to score! Not bad at all.
