I've just heard the exact rumour and came on NSC to see if it was mentioned at all. However I would describe the person who told me as a complete Billy Bullshitter so I wouldn't hold your breath. If it's the same person who told northstandsteve then it's not worth very much I'm afraid.

Apologies if bullshit, but just had a text from another friend who has heard the same rumour but doesn't do NSC. His source was someone working at the club, but don'rt know who.

Without naming names, it is someone who is a close connection to the club but is not employed by them. I don't know if JMc has gone to the states or not, but I have been told that a handshake has taken place over the deal, subject to a late bid from a Premiership club.
