To be fair to Jones, he inherited a bag of nails at Stoke.
Even one of the turnaround managers would have struggled to make a silk-purse out of that rabble.

Ambition over due-diligence = lesson learned

Jones made something like 14 summer signings - although they only spent £6m, so most of it has been loans and free transfers. Basically a massive bargain-bucket turnover of the squad. Added to the existing ex-PL big-time charlies who have been stealing a living there for the last 3 years, and its not hard to see why Stoke are where they are. Any manager is going to be struggling there, let alone an inexperienced one like Jones, who was probably met with a "Nathan who ?" the first time he walked into that dressing room.

He'll have got a few bob out of it though.

Why would Cardiff, a Championship team, be interested in a manager who has struggled to make any impact in the Championship? I would think his best chance of another job will be in Division One or even possibly back in Division 2.

Should of stayed with Luton and got that promotion on his CV. Had a season in the championship with little pressure and then moved on If successful. Still we all make mistakes.

I agree , was doing well at Luton should of stayed
