Does anyone on here like this guy's commentary?

Every time I hear him I can not believe he has a top job at the BBC. I'm not a big fan of most commentators but this one comes across as a complete joke to me.

Anyone?

Johnathon Pearce used to be superb on London or Capital radio doing commentry. The moment he went to the BBC, his total commentating style changed to very boring/John Motson stylee

We've also had this female commentator who just sounds awful in the past couple of seasons.

Most commentators are poor, but I can't properly hate anyone because my first reaction when hearing their voice is 'thank god it's not Motson.' Now he is a useless bastard.

Kudos on that!

As for Pearce, I quite like him on the Beeb. He is better than a lot of the others, Motty included.

I used to hate him when he did channel 5 football, but since he's gone to the bbc I have changed my opinion of him. Great with the stats too

i only like the ones on the radio the TV ones are shit; they don't say anything for about half the game then suddenly go: "Cole"

Pearce is one of the best commentators IMO. Was slightly weird hearing him on MOTD after watching Robot Wars for years however.

I think he is ok - not the best. Mind you he is better than that prat Alan Green on Five live. My favourite has to be Peter Drury on ITV, what a fantastic commentator.
