We don't need this guy (or Bolanos); my first initial is 'M' and I Iive in Derbyshire - close enough?

Spending this rumoured amount of cash on any relatively unknown player from another country is just too much of a risk in my opinion. It's different when you're looking at Ulloa or Hemed money, worth a punt.

I'm not suggesting he's neccessarily worth it or we could even get him for 7/8 million but investing in someone like Ross McCormack instead where you pretty much know what you're going to get (and that thing being goals) has got to be a better idea in our position, no?

McCormack would cost north of £10 million plus huge wages, he is way out of our league budget wise and would have little sell on value. Calleri while untried in Europe, if he was a success and fired us to promotion, we could sell for a big profit potentially.

From Google translate:

The Italians have hesitations, but allowed other pretenders to rebuild under. After the Christmas offer, in fact, the Brighton yesterday presented a new offer to $ 10 million for the 22 year old striker. The player, as is evident to our staff, was made a very tempting proposal: 3-year contract to a 1 million euro net to rise, with the possibility of an engagement almost doubled in the case of promotion of the association in English Premier League .

Despite the economic conditions are very favorable, this option does not exalt the whole player who, in case of non-landing at Bologna, awaits more ambitious sporting alternatives before making a final decision on the Brighton, not excluding even staying at Boca Juniors until June. But until the Bologna manifest their interest, he will remain in pole for Calleri. The time still ticking ...

Astonishing number of girls seem willing to do anything to encourage him to stay (from what they say on Twitter).

Thats the first time ive seen a new bid confirmed. It seems to say at the end that we remain favourites unless bologna confirm their interest.
