I see he played (and scored) for Newcastle's development squad last night in his first match back since being diagnosed with testicular cancer last September.

Apparently he was one of Chris Hughton's biggest allies in his time as manager at Newcastle.

I'm sure Newcastle would be happy for him to gain match fitness on loan to a Championship club??
