The dull part of the south coast
A woman goes to the doctor as she is concerned about her hearing.

The doctor asks “Have you got vertigo?”

“About 20 miles.” the woman replies.

The old ones are the best! Taxi! :drink:

Context is everything here.

Clearly ‘have you got vertigo’ was not the first or last thing the doctor uttered.

This stinks of preferential editing with the purpose of producing a witty scenario.

I’m intrigued to know why the doctor asked this question, what was the conversation prior to this utterance?

Doctors aren't what they used to be. Back in the olden days they made the diagnosis rather than asking the patient to do it.

If you watch Jaws backwards it is a heartwarming story about a shark who gives arms & legs to disabled people.

This hapless lady goes to visit her GP, and all they can do is interrogate her regarding her U2 album collection and the volume it was played at. Was this in October?

If she is hard of hearing and perhaps struggles with context is not just as likely that she replied " no it's rubbish and I much prefer The Joshua Tree " ?
