Two rabbits go into a cafe and sit down at a table. The waitress comes over.
"What do you want? she asks.
"I'll have a cheese toastie" replies the first rabbit.
"Yeah, I'll have one too!" says the second rabbit.
So the waitress goes away, brings them back their toasties, they eat them, pay and leave. The next day at the same time they come back again.
"Morning love," says the first rabbit, "Cheese toastie for me please."
"Yeah, same for me!", says the second rabbit.
Again the waitress takes their order, brings them their toasties, they eat them, pay and leave The next day they come back at the same time again.
"Hiya," says the first rabbit, "Cheese toastie for me again please."
The waitress turns to the second rabbit. "Same again for you?"
The rabbit pauses. "Naa," he says, "I think I'll have a ham toastie today."
The following day only one rabbit turns up.
"Where's your mate?" asks the waitress.
"Oh it's very sad," replied the rabbit, "He died."
"Oh I am sorry!", exclaimed the waitress, "What did he die of?"
"Mixingmetoasties!"

I feel the rabbits, whilst maybe being friendly, were a bit forward and possibly sexist adressing the waitress as 'love' on only the second visit.

That said, her brusqueness on day one left a little to be desired.

Its not clear whether the rabbits sat on the seats "at" the table, or whether they sat at a special "rabbit " table for them. A human table and seating arrangement would have made it quite difficult for them nibble on their toasted sandwiches. Without further proof from the OP on this salient point, I call foul.

Why would any rabbits venture out of their burrows without their vaccine ATCvet code QI08.
It’s irresponsible in this day and age.

At first I read it as 2 rabbis and was thinking a rabbi wouldn't eat a ham toastie FFS.

I'm curious to know how they paid. I assume it was cash as I doubt they'd got approved for a credit card (or a bank account for that matter). Where did they get the cash? How did they carry it?

If story true...A rabbit walks in talks and orders food, doubt owner would make them pay..He would be dumbstruck!!

My Flemish giant would eat almost anything she could get,Maltesers and balsa wood being particular favourites, but one exception was toast, possibly the burnt smell.Sandwiches would have been more believable.

The waitress didn't seem dumbstruck though. She just walked over and asked "what do you want?" I can only assume she'd seen talking rabbits before.

Rabbit skip hire is pretty big in Worthing. They might well own that.
