I agree winning the title next season seems a massive ask. Im a touched suprised at the bookies massive over reaction to both promoted sides. I spose thinking about it teams who are in play offs this season arn't currently in the betting and would imagine some of them teams to be faves aswell.

bearing in mind that isnt including the premier league relegatees. I would imagine at least 2 of them will come in above us

Really really tight odds imo, how can we be ahead of leeds and millwall who obviously dont need to change much to be in with a shout again.

The 3 play off losers, and the 3 relegated Prem teams will come in above us.

That would put us 9th favourites!

Purely from a betting perspective (and taking all sentimentality and bias out the way), that 14/1 is a dreadful and tight price.

I know the three promoted sides from last season have all had brilliant seasons and finished in the top ten, but I think a fair reason behind that was that so many sides with large resources underachieved. Of course the likes of Leicester could flop again, but usually it only becomes a matter of time that it all comes right for sides like this (think QPR this year).

Next season's Championship will be even more competitive and open than this one I think. Granted, we could take the momentum from this season onwards, and with the right few signings, we could be up there, but for a side that are coming into this level of football with limited Championship experience, 14/1 is no value at all.

Even worse, what were they thinking about having SCC being priced up at 10s?

If I was to pick one of those out now, Hull, with all the parachute payments they still receive and their late-season run could be a good each-way bet at 25/1.

Personally, I'd rather wait and see who all of the 24 sides in the division are though before even considering a bet.

I'm probably being over-pessimistic, but unless Bournemouth go up in the play-offs there will be no obvious "small" clubs in the Championship next season (possible exception - Donny). Promises to be an interesting season!
