I understand why he is scaremongering on Omicron. Many will be buy his rhetoric on SA.

In reality Delta is out of control, that’s the one killing people and hospitalising people because the efficacy of the ‘double jab’ has collapsed. I hope he hasn’t put people off getting a booster by spreading a little BS, we should all be very worried about Delta, I don’t think the PM mentioned it.

A few people I work with have said they are not bothering now, they are in the mind set of what’s the point, they got 2 jabs and are treated the same as the unvaccinated - not a view I agree with, but I sort of understand the position.

There is also the danger of them over playing the omicron without the data to back it up - or actually answering questions

scaremongering in the press isn’t helping and is fuelling the anti vax crew - some of the headlines about the vax not working are a disgrace.

That’s before the parties that have happened.

More cancellations of NHS appointments to facilitate the booster programme.

Surprise surprise!

All this talk of not letting the NHS become overwhelmed is just a distraction. It was overwhelmed before Covid came along, and Covid has offered up the perfect excuse to run it down even further. All part of the grand Tory plan.

We all have at least some degree of immunity against omicron already, even before encountering it.

A booster will improve the existing immunity we already have, so it is definitely still worth getting.

The vacc worked amazingly, it's why we're free again. But people are going to have to be vaccinated for the rest of their lives. This has always been the truth, and omicron is a reminder of that.

The data coming out so far indicates previous infection won’t hold against Omicron

What it does do, which you were correct about was if you had it it adds an extra layer of protection alongside 2 jabs

It really isn’t and already is in some places.

Edit:

Apologies - just re-read your post, however COVID has exacerbated an already very difficult situation.

Not sure where you got this view, but in just a week or so it will be proven very wrong.

Omicron will be the dominant strain in just a few weeks time.

It is certainly the form that is spreading more quickly, but delta is still predominant.

The bottom line is that HMG's advice and management of this is completely absurd.

I am long past advocating 'lock down' but allowing chavs to wander about untested, no masks, no by your leave, is a disgrace.

You only need a few holes in the hull for the boat to sink.

I am on my 26th iteration of the flu jab - really don't know what the fuss is about having repeat jabs.

Thank f@ck for vaccines then, you really should try one.

Or alternatively let everyone else so it minimises the risk to yourself.

Had my second flu vaccine this year and should have started over ten years ago.

Mustafa is surely just trolling now. Or he’s not all there.

something stood out to me in BBC graphic on the news. 40% have had their 3rd jab already, thats covering the at risk groups and well into lower risk groups. so why are we fearing this surge of pressure of NHS, are all the 20-45 yo more likely to get severe case than they were in summer?

The booster jab and the 'first jab' are absolutely identical. The only difference is time.

Yes. However, when you get your jabs your card is stamped
Dose 1
Dose 2
Booster.

But then there is no reason you should know that.

It’s obvious you are either trolling, very stupid, or are not quite there. Either way, your contributions are odd.

It's fine, most other people have had them. Why should you bother ?

It's like letting your dog shit in the road, someone else will eventually clear it up.

They will continue ad infinitum suggesting through personal choice and liberty they chose not to get vaccinated whilst letting everyone else do it...

.. thus helping to protect them.

Quite hard to find a better definition of selfishness.
