This is unbelievable in this day and age (I mean it must be nearly the mid 90's in Crawley by now).

I guess it will all come out in the wash, or in the inquiry.

Sounds all kinds of absurd... almost too much to be 100% true but then again if only 10% of this is real, it is bad enough.

Why didn't one of those fit young men just punch that fat **** in the face. Maybe even a few of them lay the boots into the turd.

Would have brought it all out in the open pretty quickly and felt rather satisfying.

Always came across as a grade A Cu*t.... Is anyone surprised?

Looks like a spiteful little gammon in the pictures of him.

If true, what on earth were the senior pros doing going along with that kind of crap? ???

In the same way that boys were abused, there are thousands of football hopefuls who dream of being professional players. Threats of being thrown out are very real, and no other club would employ you after that. There's the door, out you go.

It is a power that is very strong.

I am surprised the fail haven't started a campaign to support him.
My first thought was that Yems was probably a reader.. marvellous work eh ? Stoke up racial division and xenophobia and then get all shocked with faux outrage when they get the result they wanted....I suppose it sells papers either way.

It's less the responsibility of the players to stand up to this and more the senior club officials.

Did the CEO or Chairman know? Is there a whistleblowing policy in place? Was anyone else told, like the PFA?

It's exactly like with Yorks cricket. The right culture has to be set from the top. And here it hasn't been. If all this is true, none of these people should ever be involved in football again

Why is the Assistant Manager taking over? Surely he knew about the segregation of white and black players at the training ground?
Did he keep quiet? Are you innocent if you keep quiet? Or are you complicit if you go along with that kind of stuff?

Who else knew about it? Surely most or all of the non-playing staff, never mind the players. Are they all being investigated?

Why in God's name is the People's Pension still involved with the club? They should have ended their contract with Crawley football club, immediately this news came into the public domain.

And all this was happening just up the road. Never mind about Burnley. The enemy is just up the A23.

Apologies for replying to my own post, but I may have done the People's Pension a disservice:

I don't know the timeline of events, but Crawley are looking for a new shirt sponsor and stadium naming rights partner:

This is unrelated to Yems. The new owners want some Crypto sponsors.

Whether you are right or wrong, any new sponsors, crypto or otherwise, should tread very, very carefully.

The new owners will naturally want to draw a line under Yems and move on. But it isn't as simple as that.
We are talking - segregated - changing rooms. In Britain. In 2022. Take a moment to digest that.

It took a long time for seven players to speak out about this. It could take a similarly long time for all the guilty parties to be rounded up and go through the legal process.

Would you, in charge of a fledgling crypto company, want to be associated with any of that?
