Have you seen his press conference from this morning yet? His gone back up in my view big time this morning. Looks to me as if tho he is still the real captain of england!

I saw that this morning and said to a mate, I wonder if after this 'team meeting' they're having tonight, Terry will come out as captain.

Can't see Fabio going back on it though.

I don't think it's the players 'choice' as to who goes to the press conferences. They are nominated by the management.

Despite what has gone on, Terry is definitely the leader of the squad. Once they cross the tochline, it doesn't matter who's got the armband - they should ALL be leaders on the pitch. The trouble is, on Friday there were too many sheep.

If gerrard really wanted to come out and say something he could easily get the press officer to get him out there 4 a press conference! Terry was class today, gonna be some heads banged togther tonight, just a shame there will be no cameras there!

I thought Terry was referring to the management when he was saying how some people are going to be upset after tonight's meeting, but the more I think of it the more it must mean some of the players. I would have said Lampard but I can't see Terry ever having a go at his performances due to the Chelsea link.

Why does her say 'yeah/no' so much. What does he mean? Yes or........no?

He impressed me in that press conference to be honest. At least he's stood up to the plate and said what has needed to be said. Gerrard is a nightmare in front of the microphone, and in that squad, only Jermaine Defoe sounds more of a simpleton.

But lets just hope Gerrard can run the show on the pitch, like he did against the USA.

the "yes" is an acknowledgement of the question, the no is the answer. many people do this.

all this talk of unrest is really overblown and i thought that came across in the conference. theres frustration, maybe a fear of expressing ones opinion. theres a few home truths about to be thrown around and thats good. unrest will only come if things dont change as a result of that.

if you want to see unrest, consider the French campaign, with players practically walking out mid match.

That was the most refreshingly honest interview I have seen from an England player in a long time. Looks like there will be a few strong words said. It actually made me feel much more positive about England, at least he really looked like he cares and hopefully they will tell Capello what they think. Whether he will listen is another matter.

Did like the 'sod it' comment, seemed as if the FA press man let him off the leash a bit

I said it the day he was stripped of the captaincy. Capello/The FA dropped his biggest bollock by doing that.

I think the FA knew that someone within the camp had to come out and say "We've been crap and something needs to change, sod it if it annoys a few people".

There are a number of reasons why I think we've been so crap in this world cup, Pressure being one of them and the players getting a bit clostrophobic (sp) is another. Didnt Roony come out a few days ago and say that he finds it really boring because all they do is train in the morning, shower and have lunch and then spend the rest of the day watching the other games and sitting around the hotel?

No matter how much of a professional you think they should be, that would drive anyone crazy, especially seeing that apart from a few days around the Mexico game, the players havent been home much and are probably missing their families and, dare we say it, might be getting a bit bored of the sight of each other!
