John Terry

To be fair to him on this occasion, he left the field rather quickly and there weren't too many protests from the Chelsea players and none from Scolari, unlike Wenger yesterday.

Wenger is really galling (french pratt). He would be going mental if his player was played like that. Adebayor did NOT play the ball until well after he played the man off a ball that was there for both. Fully deserved a red, and yet Wenger acts appalled and affronted.

Incredibly tiresome tosser, him.

OK, because you're so fair minded, I'll accept your interpretation over my own eyes and the BBC pundits on MOTD

I judge tackles by the one from Henry Hughton on Gerry Ryan at Sellhurst, where the ball was gone, yet he still took the man out...was it that bad?

Clear red, and Dowd last night was one of the best referring performances i'd seen this season, didn't do anything wrong at all.

And Scolari did have a massive whinge, and Chelsea players did kick up a fuss

Wasn't that bad

Dowd sure likes to show the cards. Worst ref in the Prem. FACT!!

looked like a dive to me

Was it as innocuous as Adebayors ridiculous 2nd booking then?

Two feet off the ground - straight red. Correct decision by the ref. See if you can spot the ball in the picture below.

Yep, clear red card, Osman was lucky not to end up with a bad injury from that

Not high, clearly ONE footed and he won the ball. Yes it was reckless and hard, but if Osman had not fannied out of the challenge it wouldn't have looked half as bad.

Don't let that get in the way of YET MORE John Terry bashing.........

I'm no John Terry basher - I've never understood the somewhat groundless hate of some people for specific players. But that tackle was jumping in with two feet off the ground. Sending off, no debate.

There is plenty of debate, as shown on Setanta last night.

The tackle was one footed. Momentum made it look like a two footed challenge but if you watch the replay, the second foot doesn't come through until the actual challenge is long over.

From the photo and footage it's hard not to see it as a red.

As El Turi said, not malicious just reckless and they are just as dangerous. Red, no question.
