I imagine we've probably been linked with him before. Very impressive start to his Championship season, in amongst a fairly ropey Reading side. Hat-trick against QPR last weekend and another goal last night. Only 26 years old.

Could be one to look out for in the January transfer window

John Swift has been around for a fair few seasons now. and remember pitting our wits against him back in our Championship days. Yes a good player l agree, but my thinking is, that at 26, he is considered to be outside our ideal age range for new signings. Under 23 seems to be our benchmark nowadays.

Seems daft to say it, but the current Albion way is to target new signings of 23 or younger. Preumably exceptions can be made, but only if the player is deemed to be too good to miss.
