Cannot see this, why would Brighton's 2nd keeper suddenly jump to a top Championship side without proving himself? Makes no sense to me.

Well to be honest I was surprised that he only went to a League 1 team when he left us but it was one that got to the play offs.

I have only heard this 2nd hand so don't want to start a rumour but just wondered if anybody else had heard anything.

It was only three years ago, unless the rules have been changed since then.

Alot of rules have changed in the last 3 years, I'm pretty sure I'm right in saying that they can't be transferred twice in the same window anymore, though having said that, Sullivan was a free transfer. I don't think a player can be sold twice in the same window. Maybe they could sign him. Where's Russ when you need him?!

Another unsubtle dig at Kuipers from Chez.
We all know that Sullivan was the better keeper blah blah blah.....

Isn't the rule something like you cannot play for 3 separate clubs in any one season/year. So far, he hasn't played for Millwall apart from possibly a few friendlies which don't count (otherwise trialists not taken on by one club could not seek employment elsewhere).

If we released him and he HAS moved from one club to another he''ll only have been transferred once this window

And like I said it's only a rumour I heard, I just wanted to know if anybody could clarify it.

I think the rumour is the one in your head that he would climb the leagues. He played a handful of games for a bottom half third division side, didn't do too bad (although one game was horrid) but not well enough not to be released, to sign for another third division side. Can't see any evidence that he is destined to climb the leagues till he makes an impact at this level.

Don't get me wrong, I wish him all the luck, and I think we should have kept him, but better than this level? I don't think anyone has seen evidence of that.

Was he released because the club knew he wasnt going to sign another contract had Kuipers been out of contract, would he have been released as well

Yes, the rule is you cannot PLAY for 3 clubs inside 12 months (I think it is 12 months as preferred to a season, although may be wrong). Since Sullivan hasn't played a competitive game for Millwall he could still move.

Not at all, Kuipers from the reports I've seen has had an excellent pre season and looks like starting the season as No. 1 so I am OK with the decision made if the performances in pre season are anything to go by.

I just received a text quite late last night asking me if I'd heard that John was moving on to Cardiff. I hadn't so I put it to the board who in previous times have known.
