Seem to have been out of the blue as well without a hint of a rumour, wonder if the people he brought with him will leave as well. Whole new back room team coming in?

Not good news... Would like to know Gus's feelings on this one? Will we ever know the whole story?

Seems rather odd and too much of a coincidence following the sacking of Steve Brown earlier this week. Maybe the reshuffle didn't suit him and he walked.

I would have thought part of his job was looking after the youth teams so the decision to sack Brown would have been his which makes the timing very strange

Didn't we pay something like £250,000 for him as well? I thought he was helping us set up our new academy etc?

Quite annoyed by this.

I think the Brown departure was due to JS. Maybe this hasn't gone down well so JS has left. Maybe Brown will come back?

Just imagine you thought you were responsible for academy development and then found out that a couple of your key employees had been told they were no longer required, without anyone consultation with you. Do you think this might make it more or less difficult for you to settle in the area ???

Well it was rumoured that Poyet wasn't happy with his appointment, i put it down as bullshit at the time but now.... maybe!

Completely agree. I think Poyet want's his own people in, and Stephenson wasn't his choice.

Gus is fed up on losing out on his targets due to all the 6 part faffing about.

I am sure a signing like Buckley would ease any pain that Gus was caused by the 6 part transfer process.

Although if that was the major thing that Stephenson brought with him, the cat is out of the bag now, it could be a system easily kept despite his departure.
