Just had a club message that John Piercy has suffered a prolapsed disc and is out for up to 3 months. Not good news: have to hope OGH comes back to form. Take Bozzie back from Leicester for a while? I'm not up on the rules on loans. :nono:

Piercy out for three months!

Apparently a prolapsed disc in his back....shame as he was starting to show promise!:(

Bugger. Just as he finally hits good form and makes it into the team.
With Jonah suspended, Yeates going back, and Piercy injured the left side is in dire need of stregthening.

We could have done without this, our midfield is so frail and with Yeates now going back we really need to strenghten in that area.

Get well soon John.

4 months ago nobody would have been that bothered by this news cos he wasn't near the 1st XI...now it's a disaster.

:(

I know what the pain is like as I did something similar playing cricket at work in 1991. I dived for a ball in the field and felt a twinge, but it didn't come out for a couple of weeks. Of course the day it chose to really flare up was the Monday after the play off final, so everyone at work thought I was throwing a sickie when I didn't go in to work. Fact was I couldn't walk for two days. Anyone else done something like that?

Never mind. At least we can rely on Kerry.

I feel so sorry for him just as he was making an impact and finally got a regular place in the team. I hope he makes a quick recovery.

A great shame - started to play well recently, and with a lack of depth in the squad he is one player we could have done with.

Another loan signing anyone ?

This is even worse news after today. We still desperately need someone to create in the centre of midfield and with Yeates gone, Piercy would have been perfect for this role. Charlie and Chippy in the middle of the park isn't going to work.
