Having worked there for over 20 years, I like Liverpool (the city not the football club), although it's reputation for scouse humour is very over-rated.

Didn’t go last night, but I’ve actually seen him before, long while back when he was still fairly new. What I remember of him is that we didn’t laugh much. He didn’t really tell gags, it was more stuff about himself and his life. Which is all well and good if you’re likeable or witty, which he wasn’t.

Still, each to their own. Maybe he’s improved, or my tastes have changed.

I cant get on with John Bishop - he gives me too many Jamie Carragher vibes, and I cannot stand THAT man.
Plus, hes a Liverpool fan, and I cannot stand them either. So all in all, two very spurious reasons for me to dislike him - and thats where I am. ;-)
