If he's going to a championship team, they're getting an excellent player. If he chooses which team he wants to play for, they may even get one with the right attitude.

He is just a bad egg. Look at what happened when Newcastle got him and Nolan out of the dressing room. He isn't a bad player, not as good as he thinks he is, but would probably bring something to the team. For the MASSIVE disharmony that he would undoubtedly bring to the dressing, however, a THOUSAND times no.

Some of you lot seem to think this game is a popularity contest....it's not!

Agree with you, but at the same time I like to think I'd always be proud to say I support the Albion, which I think I'd find very hard if we signed someone who has his record/attitude.

A timebomb and he'd think the championship was now below him (which it should be). He'd be on the England bench if it wasn't for his brain so only the desperate need apply.

I guess a Championship team is possible given nobody in the Prem wants to be associated with him.

I'd have thought Leeds would have been a perfect fit for him, will fit in culturally and Colin obviously sees something in the pillock

No way, wouldn't want him anywhere near the club, as all of his ability is massively over-shadowed by the negative effect he can have on and off the field. A stupid red card waiting to happen, and divisive off the field.

Negative Ghost Rider.

Besides, if he were to go out on loan it would be to which ever club could contribute most to his £80,000 a week wage, and that wouldn't be brighton.

Never mind his attitude. His passing stats were terrible last season. He gave the ball away more than any other player on their team.

I have a hunch he will end up at Blackburn. The whole setup at Blackburn is completely dysfunctional enough for them to sign Barton. No club with half an ounce of sense would touch Barton with a pole. "Sense" & "Blackburn" don't combine together in any form.

What's the problem with a loan? If he comes and gets his head down we have a player who is far too good for the Championship, if he continues to be a cock we get rid, like Razak.

He is a decent footballer though

He isn't. His stats are appalling, his pass completion rate is very poor.

Cannot believe this question has been asked. Of course we would never want him, why would we??

If he can keep his cool he is a great player

A) he can't and B) he isn't. What attributes does he possess which make you think he is a great player?
