AFAIK the las CB we bought from the Championship cost about £20M, so probably not anything less than that now - probably more, in fact. Disappointing if we still have to go out and buy a CB (if it's not just agent's talk and clickbait) instead of growing our own.
Wonder how much we paid for the three we loaned out to the Championship this season.

It does seem strange that we have some promising CBs that we paid money for to send out on loan and then decide they are not good enough so we spend another £20 million on a CB to replace one we sold for £12 or £13 million.
